Building high-quality, maintainable software with a focus on clean architecture and scalable solutions that solve real-world problems. Cardiff Met graduate, ready to make an immediate impact.
About
Who am I
I'm a Software Engineering graduate from Cardiff Metropolitan University, where I earned a 2:1. My approach to development is rooted in clean code, thoughtful design, and a genuine curiosity for how systems work.
I specialise in Java, Spring Boot, and SQL, and enjoy building full-stack applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I'm drawn to problems that require both technical rigour and creative thinking.
Beyond code, I coach Men's Gymnastics — a role that has refined my communication, leadership, and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Leadership
Coaching & Character
For four years, I've coached Men's Gymnastics, working with athletes aged 6 to 18. This experience has taught me patience, clear communication, and how to build confidence in others.
These skills translate directly to software engineering: clear communication, calm problem-solving, and leading by example are qualities I bring to every team and project.
Philosophy
Engineering Mindset
Clarity over cleverness
Code is read more often than it's written. I prioritise readability and maintainability.
Test-driven thinking
I design with testing in mind, ensuring every component is verifiable and reliable.
Continuous improvement
Every project is an opportunity to learn. I embrace feedback and iterate relentlessly.
